Granicus built a CMS (Content Management System) and it is up to you to contribute content to your website in many ways. But HOW? There is so much to learn, and you may not need to know how to do everything that the CMS has to offer. Use the guide below to learn exactly what you need in order to make the CMS work for you.

What are 101 Sessions?

30 minute - 1 hour sessions (Some sessions have significant amounts of content)
The "Basics" of CMS day to day operations
Hands on training involving the following topics (each session has a general overview objectives and anticipated time):
All Trainees must attend and complete the course work for all 101 sessions before they can attend 200 level Sessions

What are 201 Sessions?

Trainees must complete all 101 course work before they will be able to sign up for 200 level course work
This series of sessions is designed for CMS users that will be "Super Users" in their CMS
- Super Users- CMS Users that will be responsible for managing the website overall
- These users can build content for any department, and have the highest permission levels in the CMS
30 min -1 hour Sessions include:
- Super User Basics- the Administration and Configurations drop down, and Super User tasks and responsibilities
- System Variables
- Information Architecture/Content Strategy- Drive visitors to the right content
- An "Introduction" to CMS User Permissions- How to: fill out your User permissions spreadsheet with your Project Manager (new CMS build)
- Build your own/customize Content Groups, Workflows, and Content Roles (long standing clients/post launch)

What are 102 Sessions?

30 minute - 1 hour sessions (Some sessions have significant amounts of content)
MORE than the "Basics" of CMS day to day operations
The Objectives- Trainees will be able to
- Publish content in these CMS Components
- Organize their content so that it appears on correct Pages in the correct Widgets
Hands on training involving the following topics (each session has a general overview objectives and anticipated time):
